My Studio

I am blessed to have a beloved life partner who loves to build things. Greg is happiest when he has a problem to solve. I do my best to accommodate! I needed a studio, he needed a project.

It took a month to build while navigating Covid lockdown. End of May 2020 I was able to move into my adorable custom hand built studio overlooking our garden waterfall and Lake Spokane.

The first thing I did in my new studio was build an altar. I included the photographs of 4 dear women friends who I first met in my twenties. Knowing them profoundly shaped my future. Denise, a midwife, invited me to assist her at home births, Betty modeled infinite creativity and taught me how and why to create sacred space. From Dhyana I learned dedication and boundaries as a healing arts professional. And finally Janice, a dear soul sister, since passed, showed me what it meant to be a stand and a voice for the forest and the fungi.

It means a lot to me to have these wise women teachers looking over my shoulder as I play in my studio. I'm a product of my life experiences and they each played their part in sculpting me into the woman and human I am today. 🙏🏽
